I didn't know I needed this until I opened the gift box and saw it. Clever little box keeps the odors in check. Even the pulp from juicing, which normally starts to ferment in hours, stays pretty much odorless in this compost collector.The box looks rather nice, for what it is, but it isn't something I want to keep on the counter so it resides under the kitchen sink. It's not very large, not much bigger than my toaster, but deeper. I empty it every other day - depending on what I'm cooking it may take three days to fill up. Very nice product, smart design, sturdy. Highly recommended. This is a great product. I am thrilled to have it and to no longer be adding mounds of excellent compostable materials to my garbage. I juice and cook mainly veggie dishes every day so I acquire a lot of organic waste. Using the Full Circle Compost Collector is extremely simple and as advertised, there are no odors. I change my bag every 3rd day or more if needed. The 5 bags that come with this product are useless, too small and tear at even the smallest tug. Since these collectors weren't designed to breath they were constantly damp (and smelly) inside and quickly became a 5-star hotel for flies; and those flies invited all of their friends and relatives to come stay at my house.The Full Circle Fresh Air Kitchen Compost Collector not only solved the fruit fly problem, it is much easier to use and bag. The spring loaded lid contains small perforations that allows air to circulate but keeps out the flies. A quick press of a button and the lid gently but firmly springs open meaning you can have compostables in one hand and open the composter with the other.
